Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6-7 days per pay period, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to laboring patients with 1:1 ratios
Monitor and titrate critical medications including Pitocin and Magnesium
Support mothers through antepartum, postpartum, and post-surgical GYN care
Collaborate with a high-performing team recognized for exceptional patient experience
Maintain breastfeeding-friendly practices and support new mothers
Respond to obstetric emergencies with confidence and skill

Qualifications

Active RN license with minimum 3 years of labor and delivery experience
Current BLS and NRP certifications required
Valid driver's license for radius verification
Ability to pass skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of AWHONN staffing guidelines
Experience with high-risk pregnancies including hypertension and diabetes
Comfortable managing titratable drips and set-rate medications
Excellent assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a Blue Distinction+ unit
