Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to adult and pediatric patients over 15 years old in a fast-paced Med Surg ICU
Titrate critical drips including vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmics
Monitor and interpret telemetry using Draeger heart monitoring systems
Collaborate with attendings, fellows, and residents to deliver exceptional patient outcomes
Float to various inpatient units (excluding Maternity/NICU) to support system-wide needs
Respond to Rapid Response Teams and Codes alongside the Charge Nurse

Qualifications

Active RN license with 2 years of recent ICU experience
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Valid driver's license for radius verification at submittal
Willingness to complete a pass/fail skills exam during orientation (open book, 90% passing score)
Ability to work every other weekend and 2 out of 3 major holidays

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry interpretation and centralized monitoring
Critical thinking and quick decision-making in high-volume settings
Experience with advanced devices such as Impella, Balloon Pump, CRRT, and ICP monitoring (training available)
Strong communication and teamwork with interdisciplinary providers
Positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues and learners
