Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate nursing care to pediatric clinic patients within scope of LPN licensure
- Serve as the primary liaison between patients, staff, and providers to ensure continuity of care
- Take and document vital signs accurately and efficiently
- Triage patient calls and determine appropriate next steps or escalation
- Process prescription refills and manage medication-related administrative tasks
- Complete necessary prior authorizations to support timely patient treatment
- Support and guide CNAs and schedulers in daily clinic operations
- Collaborate with providers, coordinators, clinical managers/supervisors, and RNs to meet patient needs
Qualifications
- Current State LPN license required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (LPN)
- Adheres to state and federal continuing education/licensure requirements
- Experience in pediatrics preferred
Education
- Graduate of a Nursing Program (LPN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient care fundamentals with a pediatric focus
- Triage and assessment of patient concerns over phone and in clinic
- Accurate measurement and interpretation of vital signs
- Familiarity with prescription refill workflows
- Experience completing prior authorizations
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to coordinate with interdisciplinary staff
- Ability to give direction to CNAs and work with schedulers
