Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver skilled physical therapy interventions under the plan of care to help patients regain function
• Implement and progress individualized treatment plans while tracking measurable outcomes
• Perform gait training, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to improve patient mobility
• Document patient status, treatment provided, and progress clearly and timely in the medical record
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and physicians to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safe mobility techniques
• Maintain therapy equipment and uphold safety and infection control standards

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in Montana, or eligible for licensure
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program, with current state licensure as required
• Current CPR / BLS certification
• Comfortable working in an outpatient setting with a variety of diagnoses
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility credentialing requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in therapeutic exercise, manual techniques, and gait training
• Experience with patient assessment, documentation, and care planning
• Familiarity with common outpatient conditions such as orthopedic and post-surgical cases
• Proficient with electronic medical records and timely documentation
• Excellent time management and prioritization to manage caseload effectively
• Ability to teach and motivate patients and caregivers in a positive way
