Shift Type: Weekday day shifts: Either 4x10 (Monday-Thursday, 07:00 AM - 05:30 PM) or 5x8 (Monday-Friday, 08:00 AM - 04:30 PM); occasional Saturday rotation 08:00 AM - 01:00 PM (approximately 2-3 Saturdays per 13-week contract). Day shift.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality echocardiography and ultrasound exams, including portable studies, on patients across adult acute care, outpatient, ED and ICU settings
• Operate and troubleshoot Philips, GE and Siemens ultrasound equipment and document findings in PACS
• Provide stress echo testing and advanced echo procedures when indicated (pharmacologic and treadmill stress as required)
• Apply infection control and isolation precautions while caring for patients with varying acuity
• Chart accurately and timely in Epic to ensure continuity of care and clear communication with the interdisciplinary team
• Adapt quickly to bedside exams and ICU/ED environments with professionalism and patient-centered focus
• Support workflow and throughput by prioritizing cases and communicating effectively with nursing and ancillary services
• Contribute to quality assurance and follow protocols for imaging with contrast, bubble studies, and advanced calculations

Qualifications

• BLS required (ACLS preferred)
• ARDMS, RDCS, or CCI-RCS certification required
• Minimum 5 years of clinical echocardiography/sonography experience
• Comfortable performing portable studies and exams for ICU/ED patients
• Experience with Epic (charting system) required
• Travel assignment experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required per facility guideline
• Previous charge experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Echocardiography and general ultrasound expertise
• Portable studies and bedside imaging in acute care settings
• 3-D echo, color Doppler, M-Mode and bubble study proficiency
• Pharmacologic and treadmill stress echo experience
• Calculations such as Simpson's Rule, diastology, LV strain/volume, and proximal isovelocity surface area
• Familiarity with Philips, GE and Siemens ultrasound platforms and EPIQ machines
• PACS navigation and image management
• Isolation precautions/PPE and safe practice in ICU/ED environments
• Right ventricular imaging (RVIT, RVOT) and routine adult echo protocols
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with interdisciplinary teams
