Location: Brooklyn Park, MD

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (days vary), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, evening shift

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $17 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, person-centered care to geriatric residents
Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding
Monitor resident condition and promptly report changes to nursing staff
Document care provided and observations accurately and timely
Support a safe and comfortable environment by following infection control and safety policies
Collaborate with nurses and the care team to deliver consistent, high-quality care

Qualifications

Current GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification required
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Comfortable working with older adults and addressing geriatric needs
Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and required health screenings
Dependable, punctual, and able to travel to the Brooklyn Park facility as scheduled
Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team

Education

High school diploma or GED required; completion of a GNA program required

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of geriatric care principles and dignity-focused care
Skill in assisting with ADLs and safe resident transfers
Basic vital signs monitoring and observation skills
Familiarity with infection control practices and safety protocols
Basic documentation and charting skills, including clear communication with nursing staff
Compassion, patience, and strong interpersonal skills with residents and families
