Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT imaging for Emergency Department and trauma patients with speed and compassion
• Execute stroke protocols and urgent neuro imaging to support rapid clinical decision-making
• Operate Siemens CT scanners and PACS efficiently and accurately
• Prepare and administer contrast media and start peripheral IVs when needed
• Perform advanced procedures such as CT arthrography, brain perfusion studies, aspirations, and biopsies
• Document exams clearly in Epic and Meditech to ensure smooth continuity of care
• Float between units and work independently while maintaining teamwork and communication
• Prioritize patient safety, radiation safety, and infection control during all procedures

Qualifications

• ARRT CT certification required
• California radiologic technologist license required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required
• Minimum 2 years of CT experience, with emergency/trauma exposure preferred
• Proficiency with Siemens CT systems is a must
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced ED environment
• Experience with stroke protocols, extremity exams, and trauma imaging preferred
• Ability to start peripheral IVs and prepare/administer contrast media

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with Siemens CT and PACS workflows
• Experience with Epic and Meditech charting systems
• Skilled in contrast administration and peripheral IV insertion
• Familiarity with trauma imaging protocols and extremity exams
• Knowledge of CT arthrography, brain perfusion, aspirations, and biopsies
• Comfortable with pediatric and adult acute care settings
• Understanding of radiation safety and patient positioning for high-acuity cases
• Ability to prioritize urgent studies and support multidisciplinary teams
