Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac telemetry and respond promptly to rhythm changes and alarms
• Assess and document patient condition, recognizing subtle changes and escalating appropriately
• Administer medications and treatments safely and according to orders
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and execute patient care plans
• Provide compassionate patient and family education about condition and care
• Maintain accurate electronic medical record documentation and handoffs

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) credential
• Experience or strong familiarity with telemetry monitoring
• Current BLS certification (and ACLS preferred or available)
• Excellent assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Comfort working overnight and managing multiple telemetry patients

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry rhythm recognition and cardiac monitoring best practices
• Patient assessment and triage for acute changes
• Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
• Strong documentation skills in electronic health record systems
• Teamwork, time management, and patient-centered communication
