Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and hygiene assistance
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
• Support feeding and toileting needs while preserving patient dignity
• Document patient care activities and observations clearly and promptly
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
• Respond to patient needs with kindness and a calm, professional presence during night shifts

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification valid in Pennsylvania
• Comfortable working the 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM night shift (per diem)
• Ability to pass background checks and facility onboarding requirements
• Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening per facility policy
• Strong communication skills and a caring attitude toward patients and families

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Current CNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient hygiene and activities of daily living (ADL) support
• Basic vital signs measurement and recognition of changes in condition
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Accurate documentation and charting practices
• Infection prevention and standard precautions
• Teamwork, time management, and dependable attendance
