Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care for BTICU patients, maintaining a 2:1 ICU patient ratio
• Perform and manage advanced bedside procedures including wound care and EVD management
• Respond rapidly and effectively to codes and participate in massive transfusion protocol activations
• Use Meditech EMR to accurately document assessments, interventions and patient progress
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and execute patient-centered care plans
• Monitor and operate critical care equipment safely and troubleshoot as needed

Qualifications

• Active RN license (required)
• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience (explicitly required)
• Trauma, Burn or Surgical ICU experience — candidates without this will not be considered
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills (must-have)
• Comfortable working nights and the required weekends (2 weekends per pay period)
• Meditech EMR experience preferred

Education

• Active RN license required
• BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care nursing principles and familiarity with critical care equipment
• Wound care best practices and EVD management
• Experience with Massive Transfusion Protocol (MTP) and code response workflows
• Ability to maintain situational awareness in high-acuity settings
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families and care teams
• Comfort using Meditech EMR for charting and orders
