Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care to NVICU patients, maintaining safety and dignity
• Manage and monitor complex lines and devices including central lines and A-lines
• Assist and support intubation and airway management when needed
• Perform focused assessments, deliver timely interventions, and escalate changes in condition
• Document patient care accurately in the Meditech EMR to keep the whole team informed
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists and multidisciplinary colleagues on care plans
• Support unit flow and staffing needs, including weekend coverage and float assignments
• Participate in unit rounds, handoffs and quality initiatives to improve patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Current RN (Registered Nurse) credential
• ACLS certification (required)
• Minimum 1 year ICU experience (as stated)
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
• Comfortable with central line/A-line care, intubation support and EVD patient care
• Team-player attitude, accountable and caring approach to patient care
• Willingness to work rotating nights and required weekend schedule

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical care nursing knowledge and ICU assessment skills
• Familiarity with standard ICU equipment and monitoring
• Competence in central line and arterial line management
• Comfort assisting with intubations and managing ventilated patients
• Experience documenting and communicating in Meditech
• Ability to work effectively in high-acuity, fast-paced environments
• Flexibility to float across ICUs, BMT and PCU units
