Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients quickly and accurately in the fast-paced Emergency Department
• Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care during 12-hour night shifts
• Collaborate with physicians, techs and the ED team to coordinate effective patient care
• Perform timely documentation and handoffs to maintain continuity of care
• Respond to emergencies and prioritize interventions to stabilize patients
• Support unit needs by offering flexible coverage across nights, days, weekends and holidays

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure appropriate for Nebraska
• Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience and comfort working 12-hour night shifts
• Willingness and ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed to cover open shifts
• ENPC certification preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and team-oriented attitude

Education

• Active RN license (required)
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven ED nursing skills: triage, assessment, urgent interventions and monitoring
• Comfort managing acute and emergent conditions in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to prioritize multiple patients and tasks during high-acuity periods
• Clear, concise documentation and effective interdisciplinary communication
• Flexibility to adapt to changing shift needs and patient volumes
