Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality Med/Surg and telemetry nursing care for adults, geriatrics and occasional pediatrics
• Administer IV therapy and manage wound care with attention to detail and infection control
• Float to the Emergency Department as needed to support patient needs and unit volumes
• Chart accurately and efficiently in EPIC to keep the care team informed
• Collaborate with charge nurses, patient care techs and ancillary teams to deliver seamless patient care
• Participate in unit orientation and demonstrate competency on skills exams to maintain clinical readiness

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing (state license required)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (must be current)
• Driver's license required at submittal (used to confirm radius eligibility)
• Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience preferred (Med/Surg/Telemetry experience ideal)
• Willingness to float to ED and function as a flexible team player
• Ability to complete orientation assessments (90% pass required) and comply with unit policies (e.g., fingernail policy)

Education

• Active RN license (Associate or Diploma/BSN acceptable; BSN not required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong Med/Surg and telemetry clinical knowledge
• Skilled in IV therapy and wound care management
• Proficient with EPIC charting and electronic documentation
• Excellent teamwork, communication and ability to collaborate with patient care techs and charge nurses
• Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts and adapting to a small-team environment
