Roles & Responsibilities

• Float across multiple PCU/IMC units within Zone 1, covering diverse specialties including cardiac, neuro, oncology, ortho, and more
• Manage and titrate cardiac drips (dopamine, dobutamine, cardizem, amio) as well as insulin, ativan, and heparin
• Provide high-acuity care with a patient ratio of 1:3-4 depending on acuity
• Collaborate with charge nurses, RTs, and nursing aides to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Adapt quickly to different unit environments and patient populations, from geriatrics to post-surgical

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years of PCU/IMC experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Comfortable titrating and managing cardiac drips, insulin, ativan, and heparin
• Prior neuro and Epic experience strongly preferred
• Ability to float within a 60-mile radius zone covering multiple facilities

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in PCU/IMC nursing with a focus on cardiac, neuro, and medical-surgical populations
• Proficient in managing titratable drips and complex medication regimens
• Strong communication and adaptability for floating across units
• Experience with Epic EMR is a plus
• Knowledge of diverse patient diagnoses including ortho, oncology, renal, and general surgery
