Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to oncology and trauma PCU patients, managing complex diagnoses and treatments
• Administer chemotherapy and monitor for adverse reactions with expertise and precision
• Titrate drips such as insulin and cardizem as ordered, using hemodynamic monitoring skills
• Float to med/surg and PCU units as needed, ensuring continuity of care across the unit
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent PCU and oncology experience required
• First-time travelers welcome - we provide orientation and support
• ACLS and BLS certifications required at time of submittal
• ONS/ONCC (Chemotherapy certification) required
• Must have a valid driver's license to verify distance (50-mile radius rule)
• Comfortable with EPIC electronic medical record system

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in EPIC EMR and Alaris IV pumps
• Strong understanding of ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, Aline, Swan, EV-1000)
• Ability to titrate common drips: heparin, cardizem, protonix
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills for a fast-paced mixed unit
• Passionate about patient-centered care and hourly rounding
