Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist the dental hygienist during patient exams and cleanings
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
- Take and develop dental X-rays as needed
- Provide patients with oral hygiene instructions
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Ensure a clean and organized clinical environment
Qualifications
- Current Maryland dental assistant certification or license required
- CPR/BLS certification preferred
- Prior experience in a dental office is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Proficiency with dental software for scheduling and records
- Attention to detail and infection control protocols
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Friendly and compassionate patient interaction skills
