Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist dental hygienists with patient care, including preparing treatment rooms and sterilizing instruments
- Take and develop dental x-rays as directed
- Provide patients with post-treatment care instructions and answer questions
- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories
- Ensure a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment
- Support the dental team to deliver the highest quality of care
Qualifications
- Active Maryland Dental Assistant license or certification preferred
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program
- Current CPR certification required
- Radiology certification (x-ray) a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, compassionate environment
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Proficient in sterilization techniques and infection control
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable with dental software and scheduling systems
- Commitment to patient comfort and safety
