Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform dental prophylaxis and scaling to promote oral health
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques
- Take and develop dental x-rays as needed
- Assist dentist during examinations and procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment plans
- Ensure infection control standards are met at all times
Qualifications
- Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
- Current CPR certification
- Experience in clinical dental hygiene
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to patient care
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in dental instrumentation and scaling
- Knowledge of radiography and safety protocols
- Patient education and motivational interviewing
- Infection control and sterilization procedures
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR)
- Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities
