Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, days (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM) or nights (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM), every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care for adults and geriatrics with cardiac, nephrology, stroke, and neurological conditions
Monitor and titrate intravenous drips such as Cardizem, beta blockers, and seizure medications
Collaborate with charge nurse and interdisciplinary team to ensure quality care
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed
Maintain a positive attitude and critical thinking in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Perform continuous EEG monitoring and manage patient ratios of 1:4-5

Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska or compact state
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Ability to pass an open-book exam with 90% during orientation
Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Commitment to positive attitude and teamwork

Knowledge & Skills

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) knowledge
Stroke and neurological care expertise
IV drip titration experience
Patient ratio management (1:4-5)
Ability to work in a fast-paced unit with diverse diagnoses
