Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with weekend requirement (2 full weekends per month with comp days)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations for acute care patients in a Level III trauma center
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for a diverse patient population including ortho, neuro, oncology, and critical care
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including PTAs and rehab aides to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Document patient progress accurately in Meditech EMR
Participate in weekend coverage (2 full weekends per month) and holiday rotation

Qualifications

Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in Texas in good standing
BLS certification required
Acute care experience strongly preferred
Willingness to precept and train new staff as needed

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in Meditech EMR system
Strong clinical reasoning and assessment skills in acute care settings
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to manage a high patient volume (1 eval per hour or 10 treatments per 8-hour shift)
