Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts (06:30 AM - 06:30 PM or 06:30 PM - 06:30 AM), every other weekend, rotating holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to PCU patients with cardiac, vascular, respiratory, and renal conditions
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips, manage titratable drips including Heparin, Nitro, and Amiodarone
Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and medication management
Adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment while being a team player

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska (or compact state)
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Competency in managing arterial lines
Experience in PCU or critical care preferred
Strong communication and adaptability skills

Knowledge & Skills

Titration of cardiac drips (Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, insulin)
Telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Arterial line management and troubleshooting
Patient assessment and care for sepsis, stroke, post-stent, and post-pacer patients
