Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 48

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with cardiac, vascular, respiratory, and renal conditions
Monitor and interpret telemetry
Titrate intravenous drips including Heparin, Nitro, Cardizem, and Amiodarone
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes
Participate in patient experience initiatives focusing on responsiveness and communication
Float to MedSurg or ICU as needed to care for PCU acuity patients

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state required
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Competence in arterial lines and high flow oxygen
Experience with telemetry interpretation and drip titration
Minimum 1 year of recent PCU experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to titrate multiple drips safely
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of cardiac rhythms and interventions
