Location: Omaha, Nebraska

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM (days) and 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM (nights); weekend requirement: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period; holiday rotation with permanent staff.

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to PCU patients including cardiac, stroke, and medical/surgical cases
Titrate IV drips such as Heparin, Octreotide, and Insulin as ordered
Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to manage high-acuity patients
Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of PCU experience preferred
Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
Experience with IV drip titration

Knowledge & Skills

PCU nursing and telemetry interpretation
IV drip titration proficiency
Strong team collaboration and communication
Ability to handle high patient flow and multitask
