Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a fast-paced Progressive Care Unit
Monitor and titrate intravenous medications including Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications
Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Perform continuous EEG monitoring and assess neurological status
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed to support the care team
Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to manage complex cardiac and nephrology cases

Qualifications

Active and unrestricted RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Minimum 1-2 years of recent PCU or step-down experience preferred
Strong communication and teamwork skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Positive attitude and ability to adapt to changing patient needs

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification
Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips
Knowledge of stroke, cardiac, and renal patient management
Competence in continuous EEG monitoring and interpretation
