Registered Nurse - Oncology PCU/Med Surg
Location: Omaha, NE
Start Date: 08-03-2026
End Date: 11-02-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend required
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to oncology patients in a combined PCU/Med Surg unit
- Administer chemotherapy and monitor patient responses to treatment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
- Titrate drips such as insulin and cardizem as ordered
- Float to Med Surg and PCU units as needed to support team
- Participate in hourly rounding and patient experience initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Nebraska (or compact state)
- BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA required
- ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy certification required at submittal
- Minimum 1 year of oncology PCU experience
- Willingness to pass an open-book exam on skills during orientation (90% pass rate)
- Driver's license required for submittal to verify distance from facility
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in EPIC electronic medical record
- Experience with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, Aline, Swan, EV-1000)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, mixed-acuity environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
