Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat patients with orthopedic conditions, focusing on upper extremity therapy including shoulder repairs, wrist and elbow tendonitis and fractures
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve functional outcomes and independence
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other therapists to coordinate comprehensive patient care
Document patient progress accurately using ReDoc and Meditech systems
Provide patient and family education on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs
Cover outpatient orthopedic caseload (80-100%) with occasional acute inpatient, acute rehab, or transitional care as needed

Qualifications

Active Oregon Occupational Therapy License required
BLS certification required
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in outpatient orthopedics, specifically upper extremity therapy
Experience with shoulder repairs, wrist and elbow tendonitis/fractures
Experience with ReDoc and Meditech documentation systems preferred
Lymphedema training is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

In-depth knowledge of orthopedic rehabilitation protocols and upper extremity anatomy
Proficient in manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercise prescription
Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for patient and team collaboration
Ability to manage a caseload of 12 patients per day
Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation standards
