Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during exams and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to protocols
- Take and develop dental X-rays as directed
- Provide patients with post-operative instructions and oral hygiene education
- Maintain accurate patient records and update charts
- Support the dental team in delivering high-quality care
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification or registration in the state of Maryland
- Previous experience in a dental office is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- X-ray certification preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Proficiency with dental software and equipment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Compassion and patience when working with patients
