Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM (days) and 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM (nights), including every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiac, nephrology, stroke, and neurological conditions
Monitor and titrate critical drips including Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications
Collaborate with a dedicated charge nurse and patient care techs to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed, showcasing your adaptability
Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced PCU environment
Participate in an open-book skills exam during orientation to demonstrate your expertise

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Ability to pass a 90% open-book exam on skills during orientation
Must be outside 50-mile radius from facility and not employed by CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity
Driver's license required for verification of residency

Knowledge & Skills

Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
Critical thinking and ability to problem-solve in high-pressure situations
Experience with titrating cardiac and neurological drips
Positive attitude and willingness to help others
Familiarity with continuous EEG monitoring and stroke care
