Shift Type: Rotating shifts (days/evenings/nights), 8/10/12-hour options; Day example: 06:30 AM - 05:00 PM (4x10 possible); Call M-F 09:00 PM - 06:30 AM; Weekend coverage Sat-Sun 06:30 AM - 07:00 PM and 07:00 PM - 06:30 AM. Includes rotating weekends and holiday coverage as needed.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled perioperative patient care and safe circulation during surgical procedures
• Circulate and support cases across Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Spine, and General Surgery
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and the perioperative team to optimize outcomes
• Maintain accurate patient records and chart in EPIC to ensure continuity of care
• Respond to Level 1 trauma cases with composure and trauma-informed techniques
• Float to other units within the OSU organization as needed to support patient care demands

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience
• Experience in Level 1 trauma center settings preferred
• Proficiency with EPIC charting (required)
• BCLS certification required
• Preferred experience in ENT, GU, Plastics, and Burns
• Comfort circulating and scrubbing across a wide variety of cases including robotics, neurosurgery, orthopedics, transplant, and more

Knowledge & Skills

• Surgical circulating and scrub skills
• Perioperative patient care and intraoperative vigilance
• EPIC charting and electronic documentation
• Trauma OR experience and Level 1 trauma workflows
• Experience with robotics, neurosurgery, orthopedics, urology, and gynecology procedures
• Ability to work variable shift lengths (8/10/12 hours) and respond to call
