Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret telemetry strips and cardiac rhythms to identify changes early
• Assess patients frequently and document clinical findings clearly in the chart
• Administer medications and IV therapy safely, following policy and best practices
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Respond promptly to alarms and changes in patient condition with appropriate interventions
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, and discharge plans
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and handoffs to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license (ability to hold a California RN license is required for practice in California)
• Telemetry experience preferred; ability to monitor and act on cardiac rhythm changes
• Current BLS required; ACLS preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts and skilled at managing multiple patients
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Able to pass facility onboarding and required background checks

Education

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN). BSN preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in cardiac telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Solid patient assessment and prioritization skills in an acute care setting
• Familiarity with electronic health records and bedside charting
• Safe medication administration and IV/infusion management
• Excellent communication, clinical documentation, and handoff skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing patient needs
