Shift Type: Nights, 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM; rotating schedule covering all days with 6-9 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule. Schedules released 4-6 weeks in advance. May include Just-In-Time (JIT) facility assignments (facility sometimes assigned 1-2 hours before shift).

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality MS-Telemetry nursing care to adult and geriatric patients across varied specialties including cardiac, neuro, oncology and post-surgical care
• Monitor telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythms; respond promptly to arrhythmias and changes in condition
• Titrate heparin drips per protocol and safely manage other medication drips as applicable
• Float between hospitals within Zone 1 as assigned, adapting to unit workflows and patient acuity
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, RT, and support staff to develop and implement patient care plans
• Document accurately and efficiently in EPIC to ensure continuity of care
• Serve as a patient advocate and provide compassionate education to patients and families

Qualifications

• Active RN license (able to practice in Colorado) — license to submit required
• Minimum 2 years of MS-Telemetry (MS-Tele) clinical experience
• Current BLS and ACLS (AHA) certifications required; NIHSS required
• Comfortable with 12-hour night shifts and 6-9 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Ability and willingness to float within a 60-mile zone across multiple facilities
• Valid driver’s license (DL must be submitted) and reliable transportation for floating
• Strong clinical judgment, ability to prioritize, and excellent communication skills

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN). BSN not required.

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Heparin titration and IV drip management
• Experience with EPIC charting system
• Familiarity with RT equipment (vents, CPAP, BiPAP) and basic ICU/PCU stepdown workflows
• Comfort caring for adults and geriatrics across cardiac, neuro, ortho, oncology, renal and rehab populations
• Ability to function in fast-paced acute care settings and adapt to varying unit cultures
