Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment to acquire high-quality diagnostic images in a safe, patient-centered manner
• Perform patient screening, prep and positioning to ensure accurate and comfortable exams
• Collaborate with radiologists and clinical teams to prioritize studies and expedite urgent imaging
• Follow on-call response procedures, arriving within 30 minutes when called to support emergent cases
• Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner and uphold unit charting standards
• Adhere to radiation safety, infection control and MRI safety protocols at all times
• Assist with equipment troubleshooting and report any technical issues with GE Short bore systems promptly

Qualifications

• Current California Radiologic Technologist license required
• ARRT (MR) and ARRT (R) certifications required
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of relevant MRI experience (as listed on the posting)
• Comfortable with 12-hour shifts and required on-call responsibilities
• Preferred: ARRT (CT) and Fluoro permit
• Familiarity with Cerner and GE Short bore software 24x is a plus
• Candidates may not have been employed by CommonSpirit (including CHI or Dignity) within the past year; PRN through outside firms is acceptable

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong MRI operation and protocol knowledge
• Proven patient care and communication skills in imaging environments
• Ability to respond quickly and professionally during on-call activations
• Competence with imaging software and PACS workflows, including Cerner
• Understanding of MRI safety zones, contraindications, and emergency procedures
• Experience working in acute care and trauma-aware imaging settings
• Familiarity with GE Short bore MRI systems and platform-specific workflows
