Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and triage patients quickly and accurately in a fast-paced ER setting
- Stabilize and manage acute and emergent conditions with confidence
- Administer medications, start IVs, and carry out ordered treatments safely
- Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to deliver coordinated care
- Document patient care clearly and promptly in the electronic record
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up plans
Qualifications
- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred
- Previous experience in an Emergency Room or acute care setting preferred
- Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to prioritize in a busy environment
- Reliable, professional, and patient-centered attitude
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Triage and emergency nursing best practices
- IV therapy, medication administration, and basic procedures
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation
- Ability to manage multiple high-acuity patients safely
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills under pressure
