Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients rapidly to prioritize care in a fast-paced ER environment
• Administer medications and treatments accurately while monitoring patient responses
• Collaborate closely with physicians, techs, and support staff to execute timely care plans
• Perform critical interventions and emergency procedures as needed to stabilize patients
• Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes clearly and promptly
• Provide compassionate patient and family education during stressful moments

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (or compact/state-appropriate licensure where applicable)
• Prior Emergency Room (ER) experience preferred — comfort with high-acuity care is a plus
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) strongly preferred
• Ability to pass hospital onboarding and background checks
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong triage and rapid assessment skills to identify priority patients
• Proven ability with IV starts, medication administration, and emergency interventions
• Skilled clinical documentation and electronic health record (EHR) familiarity
• Critical thinking and quick decision-making in acute situations
• Team-oriented mindset with clear, calm communication in high-stress moments
• Knowledge of infection control, patient safety, and emergency protocols
