Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients quickly and accurately to prioritize lifesaving care
• Provide comprehensive patient assessment and ongoing cardiac monitoring
• Administer evidence-based emergency nursing interventions using Cerner documentation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate rapid, high-quality care
• Coach and give real-time feedback to team members to support continuous learning
• Maintain patient experience excellence using AIDET and clear, respectful communication
• Operate and troubleshoot unit equipment such as Baxter pumps and GE monitors

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in the state of practice
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an ER setting
• Experience in a Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (>100,000 visits) preferred
• Required certifications before start: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
• ENPC required within 90 days of hire
• Ability to work as part of a fast-paced team, provide coaching, and float to all ED sections

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong triage and emergency patient assessment skills
• Proficiency with Cerner documentation system
• Experience with cardiac monitoring and advanced cardiac assessment
• Familiarity with Baxter infusion pumps and GE monitoring systems
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and patient experience focus
• Ability to deliver culturally sensitive care in a diverse community
