Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic examinations of all body parts for diagnostic interpretation using CT and X-ray equipment
• Provide safe patient care using patient assessment and radiation protection principles
• Operate CT and interventional imaging equipment and assist with invasive procedures as needed
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure quality assurance processes are followed
• Prepare and run automatic injectors, adjust contrast protocols by age group, and follow contraindication guidelines
• Assist with venipuncture, sterile technique, tele-radiology transmission, and daily/weekly QC tasks
• Consult with referring physicians and support departmental procedures and workflow
• Participate in continuing education, in-services, department meetings, and disaster drills
• Rotate shifts, cover on-call responsibilities, and step into supervisory duties in the absence of leadership

Qualifications

• Current ARRT in Radiography (required)
• Clinical competency required within 3 months of hire and revalidation every three years
• Able to perform all diagnostic exams related to assigned modality
• Willingness to take call and report to work within 20 minutes when scheduled
• Willing to cross-train and work across modalities such as X-ray, MRI, CT, and Mammography as needed
• Experience working with pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations

Education

• Current ARRT in Radiography
• Clinical competency documentation within 3 months of hire and every three years

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment across the lifespan and strong customer service skills
• Radiation protection and diagnostic medical radiography best practices
• CT operation, interventional imaging support, and sterile technique
• Tele-radiology transmission and imaging quality assurance
• Contrast administration protocols and venipuncture skills
• Supply inventory, ordering, and basic equipment care and maintenance
