Roles & Responsibilities

• Oversee the radiology program to ensure excellent patient care and smooth daily operations
• Track radiology studies to confirm proper submission and timely reporting
• Provide PACS training and hands-on support to staff so imaging runs like a well-oiled machine
• Resolve radiology transcription issues and keep reporting workflows moving
• Ensure radiology equipment is properly maintained, inspected, and quoted when replacements/upgrades are needed
• Create and maintain radiology policies and procedures that keep the team compliant and efficient
• Manage the radiation protection/monitoring program to keep staff safety front and center
• Work with Finance to maintain the radiology chargemaster and identify revenue opportunities
• Lead and verify all quality assurance/control activities, including lead apron testing
• Supervise, evaluate, and develop radiology staff; ensure competency for all performed exams
• Perform radiologic exams within your scope and competence and pitch in where needed

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology
• Registered Radiological Technologist (ARRT) — required
• Registered Mammographer — preferred
• Registered Ultrasound Technologist — preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) — required
• 5 years experience in Radiology Management and supervision
• 5 years experience as a Radiology Technologist
• PACS training required; CT and MRI technologist experience preferred
• Familiarity with MQSA requirements and federal/state/accreditation radiology regulations

Education

• Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong working knowledge of PACS and digitized imaging workflows
• Experience with radiation safety and lead apron testing
• Chargemaster management and basic billing/revenue capture understanding
• Proven abilities in quality assurance and quality control for imaging services
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Comfort working across multiple computer systems and documenting medical information clearly
• Ability to multitask, supervise effectively, and build collaborative teams
• Skilled at creating policy/procedure manuals and training staff to competency
