Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patient health status and respond to changes promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and according to protocol
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient-centered care
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic health record
• Provide clear patient and family education to support recovery and discharge planning
• Advocate for patient safety, comfort, and high-quality outcomes

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license in California (required)
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS preferred where applicable
• Current immunizations and ability to pass required health screenings
• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to work independently on per diem assignments
• Professional communication skills and a collaborative attitude

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN required, BSN preferred)
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid medical-surgical nursing knowledge and patient assessment skills
• Medication administration, IV therapy, and basic wound care competency
• Comfortable with electronic charting and accurate documentation
• Effective communication with patients, families, and the care team
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and respond to changing clinical situations
• Commitment to patient safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance
