Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care to patients, supporting dignity and comfort
- Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Take and accurately record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
- Document patient care and observations clearly and timely in the assigned system
- Communicate effectively with nurses, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
- Respond calmly and promptly to patient needs and emergency situations
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in California
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program
- Current TB test and up-to-date immunizations as required
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Reliable transportation to the assignment location
Education
- High school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited CNA program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong basic clinical skills: vital signs, ADL assistance, safe patient handling
- Comfortable with charting and following care plans
- Good communication and teamwork skills with patients and staff
- Attention to detail and ability to observe and report changes in condition
- Understanding of infection control and patient safety practices
