Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage the Cost Accounting system and publish monthly service line and physician practice P&Ls and scorecards.
• Develop financial feasibility, cost and reimbursement templates in STRATA and evaluate ROI, NPV, IRR and payback for capital projects.
• Oversee utilization of Decision Support for major strategic and financial planning initiatives and validate cost-structure updates.
• Prepare and compile data for audits, insurance renewals, GME reporting, FEMA/Single Audits and reporting to external rating agencies (S&P, Fitch, DAC, EMMA).
• Train and mentor managers, the supervisor of decision support, and special projects analysts to interpret productivity and financial reporting tools.
• Manage ad hoc reporting requests and generate reports for annual financial audits, cost report filing and community benefit reporting.
• Support implementation and ongoing maintenance of STRATA modules (rolling forecast/forecasting) and provide oversight for ERP and leasing software components.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in cost accounting, budgeting and/or decision support within healthcare.
• Experience with STRATA financial software or similar decision support/financial systems.
• Proven experience producing service line profitability analysis, P&L reporting, and productivity systems oversight.
• Preferred: Master's degree (MBA or MHA) and financial/healthcare certifications.
• Preferred experience with hospital contracting, reimbursement, bundled payments and physician reimbursement.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (required)
• Master's Degree in Business Administration or Health Administration (preferred)

• Cost accounting and service line profitability analysis
• STRATA financial software (implementation and forecasting modules)
• Financial reporting, forecasting and P&L preparation
• Budgeting, decision support and productivity systems
• Experience reporting to rating agencies (S&P, Fitch, DAC, EMMA)
• ERP and leasing software familiarity
• Strong analytical, mentoring and cross-functional communication skills
