Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform CT and radiographic procedures using prescribed techniques to obtain diagnostic-quality images
• Adjust equipment settings (voltage, current, time) and arrange immobilization/support devices for safe, effective imaging
• Prepare rooms and equipment, including contrast preparation and positioning patients with care and professionalism
• Carry out daily cleaning and routine maintenance of x-ray/CT rooms and equipment
• Perform quality control tasks and maintain QC documentation specific to procedures performed
• Handle general office duties as needed: scheduling, answering phones, filing, and coordinating incoming patients
• Respond to call assignments and provide dependable coverage when on-call
• Apply radiation protection practices to minimize exposure to patients and staff

Qualifications

• ARRT registration (required)
• CT certification with a minimum of 6 months experience in Computerized Tomography
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Completion of formal radiological technologist training in an AMA-approved program
• MRI experience or certification preferred but not required
• Willingness to relocate to and work in a rural community

Education

• Completion of formal radiological technologist training in an AMA-approved training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Computerized Tomography (CT) operations and protocols
• Radiography techniques and radiation protection principles
• Patient positioning and patient care best practices
• Contrast preparation and safe handling
• Quality control procedures and basic equipment maintenance
• Scheduling and general front-office patient coordination
• Clear communication and teamwork in a clinical setting
