Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' functional abilities and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans across inpatient, swing bed, outpatient, and skilled nursing settings
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to help patients improve independence and quality of life
• Document clinical care accurately and timely in the EMR using established clinical documentation standards
• Manage a diverse caseload while prioritizing patient-centered goals and safety
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care and discharge planning
• Educate patients and families on strategies, adaptive equipment, and home programs that support functional progress
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with regulatory and facility standards

Qualifications

• Active California Occupational Therapist License in good standing
• Current AHA Healthcare Provider BLS certification
• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
• 2-3 years of experience in acute care, rehabilitation, or outpatient settings
• Proficiency with EMR documentation and basic computer skills
• Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical abilities
• Ability to independently manage a diverse caseload with compassion and a patient-centered approach

Education

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy
