Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care during the overnight shift
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings clearly in the chart
• Administer medications safely and monitor patient responses
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate appropriately
• Educate patients and families with clear, respectful communication
• Ensure accurate handoffs and maintain continuity of care across shifts

Qualifications

• Active RN license in California (or compact/eligible where applicable)
• Current BLS certification; ACLS or specialty certifications encouraged
• Per diem or acute care nursing experience preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, prioritization, and time management skills
• Reliable professional references and a patient-first attitude

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in patient assessment and clinical documentation
• Medication administration and IV therapy competence
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to manage urgent situations calmly and effectively
• Basic knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
