Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality physical therapy across inpatient and outpatient settings, treating a mix of ortho, neuro, wound care, debility, and post-acute cases
• Deliver approximately 7 treatment hours per day, managing caseloads efficiently and compassionately
• Collaborate with PTAs, techs, nursing, and interdisciplinary teams to create coordinated care plans
• Document clinical care accurately and promptly in MEDITECH
• Support unit needs by floating between IP and OP areas as required
• Precept students or newer staff when asked, helping build the next generation of clinicians
• Escalate and coordinate specialized cases with the sister facility when appropriate

Qualifications

• Active Texas Physical Therapy license
• Active national Physical Therapy license or eligibility as required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum 2 years of PT experience preferred (acute/inpatient and outpatient experience valued)
• Comfort working with PTAs and techs and ability to float between IP and OP
• Ability to precept and mentor when requested
• Reliable attendance and professionalism; call outs are strongly discouraged

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven clinical skills in ortho, neuro, wound care, and general PT cases
• Experience in acute inpatient, skilled, and outpatient therapy settings
• Familiarity with MEDITECH electronic charting
• Strong patient education and communication abilities
• Ability to prioritize caseloads and manage time for approximately 7 treatment hours/day
• Team-focused approach and collaborative problem solving
