Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate patient care during your shift, focused on assessment and timely interventions
• Administer medications and treatments accurately while following facility protocols
• Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes clearly in the medical record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient-centered care
• Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Assist with triage and escalate changes in condition to the appropriate provider promptly
• Maintain infection control practices and contribute to a safe clinical environment

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (required)
• Current BLS certification; ACLS or PALS preferred depending on assignment
• Recent clinical experience as an RN, comfortable with fast-paced settings
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and patient communication skills
• Ability to work independently on per-diem assignments and integrate quickly with new teams
• Valid ID and ability to complete required credentialing and background checks

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Completion of accredited nursing program and active RN license

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of nursing assessment and documentation
• Medication administration and IV therapy competency
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting best practices
• Skilled in patient education and family communication
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time during busy shifts
• Understanding of infection control, safety protocols, and patient advocacy
