Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
Monitor and record vital signs and report changes promptly to nursing staff
Assist with activities of daily living to promote patient comfort and dignity
Support safe patient transfers and positioning, following proper body mechanics
Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the care team to coordinate needs
Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
Document care accurately and timely in accordance with facility policy

Qualifications

Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of California
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
Comfortable with overnight 12-hour shifts and working as part of a team
Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an approved CNA training program required

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of basic patient care procedures and infection control
Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
Safe patient transfer and proper use of lifting techniques
Good observational skills to recognize changes in patient condition
Compassionate bedside manner and strong teamwork skills
