Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate overnight nursing care to assigned patients
• Assess patient status and promptly report changes to the care team
• Administer medications safely and document administration accurately
• Perform thorough clinical documentation in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists and support staff to coordinate care
• Respond effectively to emergencies and escalate concerns when needed
• Educate patients and families about care plans, discharge instructions and follow-up

Qualifications

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligible for licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) preferred where applicable
• Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts and weekend schedules
• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and monitoring during overnight hours
• Medication administration and IV therapy best practices
• Accurate clinical documentation and charting in EMR systems
• Ability to triage, escalate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Strong critical thinking and time management under pressure
• Patient and family education with clear, compassionate communication
