Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to assigned patients during the scheduled shift
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate changes promptly to the care team
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately, following facility protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate effective patient care plans
• Document patient care, interventions, and outcomes clearly and timely in the medical record
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions with empathy
• Maintain a safe and clean patient environment while following infection control standards

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Experience or comfort working in MST specialty settings (as listed in the role)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred or supported
• Demonstrated clinical judgment and strong patient advocacy skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities; comfortable collaborating across disciplines
• Ability to work per diem shifts with flexibility and reliability

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Proficient in medication administration and IV therapy basics
• Solid documentation and electronic health record (EHR) skills
• Ability to manage multiple patients and prioritize care effectively
• Familiarity with MST clinical practices (as relevant to the unit)
• Compassionate bedside manner and effective patient/family education techniques
