Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care during the 12-hour day shift to assigned patients
• Assess, monitor, and document patient status and respond to changes promptly
• Administer medications and treatments according to policy and provider orders
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and follow-up
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the patient record
• Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and organizational standards

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; California RN license strongly preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications a plus
• Comfortable working independently in per-diem assignments and adapting quickly
• Clinical experience in acute care or related settings recommended
• Current immunizations and TB screening per facility policy
• Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid clinical assessment and patient monitoring skills
• Medication administration and documentation accuracy
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Strong teamwork and collaboration with interdisciplinary staff
• Familiarity with electronic health record documentation
• Compassionate bedside manner and patient education skills
