Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality outpatient hematology and oncology care for adult and geriatric patients
• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
• Order and interpret labs and imaging to guide clinical decision-making
• Prescribe and manage treatments, coordinating with nursing staff for chemotherapy administration oversight
• Participate actively in tumor board discussions to contribute to multidisciplinary care planning
• Collaborate with the on-site APP and practice team to ensure continuity of care
• Document encounters and treatment plans accurately and efficiently in EPIC

Qualifications

• MD or DO (or equivalent medical degree)
• Experience in hematology and oncology care in an outpatient cancer center
• Comfortable using EPIC for documentation and order entry
• Experience evaluating and treating adult and geriatric patient populations
• Locum tenens experience preferred but not required
• Available for coverage from 2026-09-01 through 2027-01-18

Education

• MD or DO (or equivalent medical degree)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical knowledge in hematology and oncology principles
• Skilled in patient evaluation, clinical decision-making, and complex case management
• Ability to order and interpret laboratory tests and imaging studies
• Familiarity with outpatient chemotherapy workflows and tumor board processes
• Excellent patient communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
